The tangram is a dissection puzzle consisting of seven flat shapes, called tans, which are put together to form shapes. The objective of the puzzle is to form a specific shape using all seven pieces, which may not overlap.
In May 2011 The Offical Association of Pychologists of Aragón (COPPA) organazed a competition for the renovation and extension of their headquarters in Zaragoza. The design has to provide a new versatile space that contains working and administrative areas and common spaces for gatherings, meetings and lectures.
The floor is fragmented in seven spaces with their own caracter, mobible panels comming out from the perimeter system divide or connect those spaces according to the neccesities. This perimeter also contains the storage area for the furniture. The combination of versatile space and mobible furniture brings unlimited possibilities with few elements as The Tangram filosophy. The daily working areas are grouped near the main facade for lighting and ventilation reasons.
